Dholera had been a flourishing port in Gujarat with a prosperous trade till early 18th century. The state government wanted to develop it as a Special Investment Region (SIR) , the first in Gujarat. Alongwith Feedback Ventures Pvt. Ltd., MMCPL prepared a detail report on study of various SIR models and qualitative and quantitative physical and social infrastructure available. MMCPL identified the strategies to develop a successful SIR in Gujarat and selected land suitable of 360 sq kms.

MMCPL identified the existing industrial base and natural resources available and identified the infrastructure requirement of the SIR including but not limited to Port infrastructure, connectivity – road, rail, airport, Power and water infrastructure. The connectivity with existing major connectivity infrastructure i.e. National Highway, Railway etc.was surveyed. A masterplan of physical and social infrastructure was thus prepared.

PROJECT OUTCOME :

A detailed design for a self sufficient SIR has been prepared which is financial viable and optimizes industrial activity in Gujarat.
